These delicious bars got a LOT of attention on Twitter and Facebook when I posted the pic last week so I thought I’d share the simple recipe with you. Beware, they are SUPER BAD for you!
1 tin condensed milk
200g desiccated coconut
350g icing sugar
2 x 200g bars of milk or dark chocolate or a mix of both
Not that it made much of a difference but I did use a light condensed milk to try save a few calories – this is the one I used but the standard one will work just the same.
Just a few easy steps:
1. Mix the coconut with the condensed milk. I used about 3 quarters of the tin. Then add the icing sugar to create a thick paste.
2. Pour into a brownie tin or something similar and throw into the fridge to set. Leave for about an hour and a half to 2 hours.
3. Cut the hardened mixture into rectangles. Then melt your chocolate. I went with half milk and half dark but whatever your preference is. Here’s the messy part! Take your rectangles and dip into the melted chocolate.
Leave to set in the fridge for about an hour – then scoff them all!! 🙂
