Cinema Club at Brooks Hotel

movie 1 (1)

I am well and truly in the Christmas spirit now – only a 2 weeks to go everybody!!

This year myself and a friend decided we wanted to do something a bit different to our usual Christmas shopping and lunch day out together – so when I spotted on Twitter a few months back that Brooks Hotel had a special Christmas themed Cinema Club running through December we both loved the idea! There were a few choice; Elf, It’s A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street and strangely enough – Die Hard! We are both big fans of Miracle so it was a no brainer.

The hotel is situated on Drury Street, very central to all the Christmas hustle and bustle. After a quick Early Bird in San Lorenzo and a few cocktails in the new bar at Rustic Stone, we arrived – just on time – to the hotel. There was a lovely atmosphere in the lobby with quite a few people having Christmas drinks or a drink before the movie.

The cinema is small, seating up to 26 people, and was the perfect venue for our Christmas treat!

For €18 we got a cheeky cocktail to start the evening off and also a little tub of tasty popcorn – of course I got some wine too… it’s Christmas after all! πŸ™‚

It was great watching the movie on the big screen…. who doesn’t like Miracle?! I’ve seen it a million times before but it was every bit as good this time around!

We finished off the evening with a lovely Irish Coffee at the bar.

There are numerous films running over the next few weeks, most of them are sold out already but there are still a few tickets available for certain shows and after the Christmas period they will no doubt release their showings of standard films for the new year. If you are looking for a nice venue to watch and old favourite film then look no further!
